We were able to work with Marise, Maxo, and Jean-Daniel for both lunch and supper. It's slow going, but they are making progress, especially Marise and Jean-Daniel.
The rest of the post is made up of pictures from the last couple of days.

Jamie- I have been absolutely immersed in your blog the last 3 evenings! Susan sent me the link a couple of weeks ago and I finally have managed to read the entire thing. I'm in love with the kids and all their stories. I can't wait to hear more. I'm so so glad that Susan and Rhoda can be there with you! It's so neat that they will have a taste of Haiti and your work there. Some of your blogging has made me weep! Your description of how you were feeling with homesickness and the strangeness and the uncomfortableness of Haiti... it really struck me that I felt so much like that after I was injured. Becoming a quadriplegic was totally like a cross-cultural experience! Anyway, I just really resonated with that particular blog.
ReplyDeleteI love that you're working with handicapped kids. They are so treasured and precious in God's sight. Bless you for being the hands and feet and voice of Jesus to your beautiful kids. I am praying for you! Greetings to Susan, as well! I miss you guys and wish I could be there with you.
Love, Kari
